Render
The Render tag performs different functions, depending on the object to which it has been assigned:
- Polygon object: Affects the object completely
- Spline: The spline will be rendered as hair. If the spline has different segments, hair may be interpolated between these splines.
- Emitter or TP Geometry object (Thinking Particles): Particle streams and their flight paths can be rendered (and animated) as hair.
Don’t forget that you can also assign a Hair material to any object to which you have assigned a Render tag (in order to affect the rendered hair). Just a reminder: You don’t necessarily need a Hair material or a Hair object in order for the Render tag to have an effect (although the Hair Render setting should be activated in the Render Setting’s – something done automatically when a Render tag is created).
