Magic Bullet Film

Magic Bullet Film is a Mercury-enabled plug-in. This means that, in addition to being able to render in OpenGL, Magic Bullet Film can also be used with OpenCL and CUDA. While we recommend using Mercury rendering paths, it may be necessary to switch rendering methods if you run into performance/rendering issues.

To change your rendering method in Premiere Pro…

  1. Open Premiere Pro, navigate to File > Project Settings > General, and open the Project Settings dialog window.
  2. In the Project Settings window, navigate to Video Rendering and Playback, then open the drop-down menu next to Renderer:. Depending on your hardware, you’ll be shown Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (OpenCL), Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA), and/or Mercury Playback Engine Software Only. Some hardware configurations will display all three options, as shown below.
