Finisher makes it easy to dramatically improve DSLR footage image quality.
Modify the Effect
Enhanced Contrast
controls a subtle boost to the lightest and darkest footage areas without affecting the overall midtones.
Alternatively, Contrast
sets the overall intensity of light and dark areas in the footage. Lower values make the image more flat and gray while higher values intensify the difference between lights and shadows.
The following image series shows the subtle differences between these two parameters. The top image has Finisher turned off while the next two use a value of 50 for Enhanced Contrast (middle) and regular Contrast (bottom).
Exposure
can lighten or darken the overall scene. Lower values yield a dark, underexposed look while positive values result in an overexposed effect that bleaches out shadow details.
Saturation
controls the amount of saturation in the image. Lower values shift toward black and white, and higher values result in more saturated colors.
Detail
brings out details within the footage. Examine the image below to see the extremes of -100 (left) versus 100 (right).
Filter offers a range of 16 preset looks you can use for quick color adjustment. These filters don't change they other controls described above from their defaults, but they can help guide you in setting specific parameter values when the scene is closer to your desired color scheme. Shown below are Broadway (left), Florence (center), and Victoria (right).
Filter Strength sets how strong the above filter selection will be in your Finisher effect. A 0 value is essentially no filter.
