Setup & Installation

To install Red Giant Form, follow these steps:

1. Close any Red Giant-compatible host applications you plan on using (After Effects, FCP X, Resolve, Premiere, etc.).
2. Set up a Maxon ID if you don't already have one.
   • If you purchased Red Giant (or any other product) through Maxon's website, your Maxon ID is what you used prior to checkout.
3. Download the latest Maxon App installer.
4. Run the Maxon App installer. Once complete, you will see a list of available products ready for installation under your license.
5. Click the Install button for Red Giant. Since there are many presets, assets, and plug-ins to install, this may take a few minutes. When installation completes, you'll see the status updated in Maxon App, as shown below.
   
   Note that Red Giant (which contains the Trapcode suite) will automatically detect and install into any compatible host applications.
6. If applicable, log into Red Giant Application Manager using the Red Giant ID used to purchase your Universe membership.

Red Giant needs a Maxon ID. What is that?

A Maxon ID is a login (email & password) used to access your Maxon account. Your Maxon account can be used to purchase products, track your order history, download installers, and track your support history.

You will need a Maxon ID to log into the Maxon Application and access your Red Giant membership or start your Red Giant trial.
