This page gives an overview of each control group in Trapcode Geo. Click the links below to learn more about each feature group.
The Geometry group defines the size, shape, and position of the polygon mesh or object. This section allows you to change the mesh's density as well as move, rotate, and bend the geometry.
The Materials group sets the properties for the material and how it responds to lights in the scene. This section includes controls for the geometry’s color and opacity as well as material attributes such as Roughness, Metalness, Subsurface, Transmission, Emission, and Normals, which respond to AE’s composition lights. Use Surface Presets to set a specific material/shader look.
The Cloner group lets you repeat the mesh or object on all three axes. Choose the number of cloned instances to create, then change their position, scale, and rotation properties to produce interesting shapes and arrays.
The Environment group houses the global controls that affect your scene's appearance, including built-in sun light, shadows, refractions, image-based lighting, and more.
The Rendering group holds options for adjusting how Geo's geometry renders onto your composition, including options to adjust its anti-aliasing, shadows, and color map handling.
