Bang
RENDERING
Bang has properties for how your muzzle flashes will be rendered. For instance, if you want to use Bang in Supercomp, choose Transparent under the Composite On dropdown. As with Optical Glow, you can also identify background footage types.
Parameters
- My Footage is contains options that help Bang determine how best to blend its effects. Select Video, Log, or Linear depending on the footage type being used. Video is chosen by default, as minimal adjustments will be made.
- Highlight Rolloff provides a way to adjust the bright core of the flash, glow, and interactive lighting effects. Because Bang respects and generates HDR pixel values, the brighter areas at the core of the glow can appear harshly clipped. Highlight Rolloff gently suppresses these HDR values to bring them back into the 0% to 100% range of pixel values. This can create a pleasing look, with the core of the flash maintaining color saturation and a softer appearance.
- Composite On allows you to composite the flash on your Background layer (default), on Background (grain matte) (renders Bang on transparency with grain to match your plate), on Black, or on a Transparent background (great for compositing into Supercomp).
