ZBrush for iPad integrates a search function in the Palette menu that can help make finding features much quicker and more intuitive.
The Quick Search tool offers a touch-optimized gateway to palettes, menus, subtools, and options. Tap the search icon to summon the search panel. Then type keywords (e.g., "UV") or the beginning of search strings for instant results. As you can see in the above image, simply typing the letters "Uv" (the tool is not case-sensitive) brings up all tools and parameters within ZBrush for iPad that fit your search string. Search for "Poly" and the first results will include a Tool section populated by Polygroups and Polypaint — two very different items that still fit your search.
Touch-Driven Activation and Input: As shown above, a single tap on the search icon (smaller red circle) invokes the Quick Search panel, followed by typing in the search field (larger red oval) to query. Results populate in real-time within the panel (red rectangle). Results display with icons and expanding sub-menus for more intuitive usage and concise presentation.
One-Touch Access: Tap search result items to navigate straight to the respective palettes and menus.
Draggable and Persistent: Grip the handle at the panel's top to drag the search panel wherever you wish in the UI. When you do, you'll see a tray appear (see below). The tray moves with the search panel. Tap the tray's search icon to collapse the panel.

Session Memory: ZBrush for iPad search retains per-session query selections. For example, if you search for "mirr," "UV," and "nano," each query returns its own set of results. Say you end up selecting one result from each of those searches. Now, when you open a new search, the search panel presents your prior selections as handy shortcuts, as shown below.

Keep in mind that search results can be scrollable and extend beyond the bottom of the panel. Tap and drag on the results to scroll and make sure you see everything. Also, note that search results reset when you start or load a new project or when you restart ZBrush.
