Tessimate

Tessimate converts a model's topology into a triangle-based surface with two distinct systems, Tesselate and Decimate.

Geometry > Tessimate options

Tessimate Button

Applies Tessimate, Decimate, and Polygon Size settings to the model and mirrors the topology along the selected axis.

With no axis assigned, Tessimate applies all other settings uniformly to the model.

XYZ

Defines the symmetrical axis to which the Tessimate action applies. The topology created mirrors along the selected axis.

This is off by default.

Tap to open the menu and select a desired axis for the topology mirror.

Polygon Size

Defines the size of the polygons created based on the Tesselate and Decimate settings.

Dragging the slider automatically remeshes the model based on the applied settings. As per the on-screen tooltip, moving to a lower Polygon Size setting will yield more polygons, which may impact system resources and performance.

A higher Polygon Size produces larger polygons, resulting in a lower-resolution model.

A lower Polygon Size produces smaller polygons, resulting in a higher-resolution model.

Tesselate

Increases the number of triangles generated on the model. When active, using the Polygon Size slider applies the Tesselate effect.

When the Polygon Size value is low enough to result in fewer active points, Tesselate has no effect. In some cases, this results in being locked into a high-resolution mesh state. Activate Decimate to reduce resolution and repeat the process.

Decimate

Decreases the number of triangles generated on the model. When active, changing the Polygon Size slider applies the Decimate effect.

When Decimate is active, increasing Polygon Size results in decreasing the model's resolution.

Tessimate features support for SculptrisPro. This document offers a step-by-step Sculptris Pro Essentials guide.
