ZBrush's robust deformation system offers a variety of sliders to deform a model as well as a number of options for editing model position, orientation, and repeatable actions to all subtools.
ZBrush for iPad's Deformation works the same as in ZBrush desktop. Learn more in our external ZBrush Deformation documentation.
Transforms the selected subtool to the world origin by changing the X/Y/Z height, width, depth, and size of a model to an ideal/default size in ZBrush.
Unify XYZ options are active by default to keep the model unified to its original shape while applying the Unify button. Unify applies its effect to the chosen axis, resulting in model distortion when a single axis is used.
Default Unify dimensions cannot be changed.
This control is a handy solution when needing to set very large or small scaled models to an optimal size for modeling as well as repositioning models at world center for symmetrical sculpting.
Constrain the Unify effect to selected X/Y/Z options assigned in this menu.
Mirrors the selected subtool along selected axes.
Constrains the mirror option to the selected axes.
Mirror is often needed to flip a model to a correct alignment before applying Mirror And Weld.
Learn more about Mirror And Weld in this guide's Modify Topology section.
The Smart Realign Symmetry (Smart ReSym) button restores symmetry to the object by examining all points in the mesh from beginning to end and determining which were originally intended to align in mirror-symmetrical positions.
ReSym uses the mirror system to align the positions of vertices from one side to the other.
The ReSym function is different from Mirror And Weld in its ability to lock one side of an object by masking it before execution. The model's unmasked topology mirrors to match the masked topology.
A collection of options to repeat the last action applied from one subtool to another.
Select Deformation actions are supported by Repeat Last Action. If you apply an action and see the Repeat buttons are disabled, this indicates the previous action is not supported.
Repeats the last Deformation action and applies it to the selected subtool.
Repeats the last action used on the selected subtool to all other visible subtools.
Subtools with model visibility disabled are not affected.
Applies existing masks when you use repeat options.
Where the Mask option is active, Repeat to Active or Repeat To Other takes all masks applied to each subtool into account, effectively blocking those parts of the model from any repeated effects.
Where the Mask option is disabled, any existing masks applied to the model are ignored.
