After choosing an Action and a Target, adjust any relevant Modifiers and tap and / or drag on the model to apply the Action.
Each ZModeler action works by interacting with a point, edge, or polygon. When performing an action, dragging the stylus left / right or up / down will often modify its effect dynamically.
During the Action, introducing the modifier keys further controls how the Action applies.
Learn more about which modifiers and modifier keys do what in the Actions & Modifiers section.
Because ZModeler is a brush rather than a separate mode, you can switch between it and other sculpting tools anytime. Additionally, because it is polygon-based, it is fully compatible with all PolyMesh3D features.
The ZModeler Brush also features a replay function, allowing you to repeat the last Action with a single tap. This feature helps repeat modifications without manually reselecting.
1. Apply an action. For example, extrude a single polygon at a desired distance.
2. Tap a different polygon to replay the previous extrusion onto the selected polygon.
Hovering over an edge, point, or polygon displays the selected action for each respected component.
ZModeler takes full advantage of hover-enabled iPads for a more efficient and intuitive workflow. While non-hover devices are supported, we recommend using an iPad with hover capabilities or a mouse for the best experience when working with ZModeler.
ZModeler can highlight faces, edges, and vertices directly in the UI. As shown below, hovering over a polygon (left) causes all of the polygon's edges to highlight in orange. When you hover over a single edge (center), that edge turns orange. And when you hover over a vertex (right), that intersection point turns blue.
