3D Model

Import native and non-native 3D formats into the active scene.

Steps:

1. Select the File Format menu and choose a format to import.

2. Adjust import settings, then tap Import to load the file into the canvas.

2. Select a file from the iPadOS directory.

Formats in the local directory that do not match the formats selected in step 1 are disabled for import.

Imported 3D models replace the existing Tool in the canvas with the loaded file. The previous Tool is accessible in the Tool Palette > Tools library.

ZPR

ZProjects (.ZPR) can be imported into an active session. ZProjects store essential project settings and Tools loaded into the active session at the time.

Import 3D Model is handy to combine ZTools, ZProjects, and external 3D formats into a single session, letting you save as a new ZProject with all associated models and settings.

Where a ZPR has a collection of Tools to be loaded on import, all new and existing Tools are placed in Tool Palette > Tools library.

The active scene (left) and selected Tool before import of a .ZPR. The right scene is the result after importing a .ZPR.

ZTL

ZTools can be imported into an active session from the canvas.

A ZTool loaded into an active session becomes the active Tool after import. The previous Tool is placed in Tool Palette > Tools library. Tap to swap between them.
