Undo History

Stores actions applied to the model into the Undo History Timeline. Undo actions are stored per subtool and saved in a ZProject (.zpr) file.

Deleted undo history actions cannot be restored in the active ZProject or ZTool. To recover deleted undo history, load previously saved ZProjects.

ZTool (.ztl) files do not support saving undo history.

1. Undo History Timeline

The undo history timeline slider moves left (forward) and right (backward) between existing undo history actions stored for the selected subtool.

2. Marker

The Marker button adds a visual marker at the current position on the undo history timeline. This Marker defines a specific point in the model's history for use with various sculpting, modeling, and painting tools. The Morph and History Recall brushes can erase sculpting and painting changes made beyond this point.

The Marker icon highlights when the undo history timeline's orange tick mark aligns with the active Marker.

Furthermore, the Undo History Marker is used with the Repeat To Similar Parts feature to identify similar mesh components to synchronize, modify, and transfer data to similar components that share the same topology.

Learn how to apply this described behavior in the Repeat to Similar Parts section provided in this guide.

3. Redo

A single tap moves the undo history marker forward by one step in the timeline.

Undo keyboard shortcut: Ctrl / Cmd + Shift + Z.

4. Undo

A single tap moves the undo history marker back by one step in the timeline.

Undo keyboard shortcut: Ctrl / Cmd + Z.
