ZTools (.ztl) and ZProjects (.zpr) are saved from the ZBrush canvas > Save menu.
1. Long press Save to open > tap User Settings > Save Options > select ZPR or ZTL to set as the default format for the Save button.
Save As > ZPR is the default setting.
2. Tapping the Save spawns the Name Sculpt dialog box for labeling the first iteration of a file > Tap Save to store in ZBrush iPad app files.
Apple Pencil's scribble feature is supported with renaming files and subtools. Learn more in the Apple Pencil section provided in this guide.
3. On next use of the Save button, ZBrush overwrites the file last saved in step 2.
User Settings > Save Options are stored to ZBrush preferences and retained after restart.
After saving an initial ZPR or ZTL file > long press Save > tap Save Next to save an incremental version of the active file.
ZTL and ZPR files can be exported from an active session, to an external location outside of ZBrush iPad app files. Learn more in the Export section provided in this guide.
