Throughout our tour, you may have noticed that a few Maxon App elements didn’t quite fit into our earlier feature group discussions. Here are the last items worth noting.
There may be times when you change your license status. For example, you might have released your Maxon One license in your Account Settings on the Maxon website, and those settings haven’t yet updated with Maxon App. Clicking the Sync Account icon will force an update between Maxon App and your account at Maxon, ensuring that all your program access is current.
We touched on the program ellipsis icon earlier when covering how to uninstall a program. This pop-up menu offers two additional functions: Learn More and Release License.
Learn More will open a new browser tab and take you to that program’s product page. It’s a handy shortcut if you’re interested in expanding your knowledge of Maxon’s toolset.
Finally, Release License will do exactly that — release the program’s license so that the program can be installed on a different system under the same license. This ability can prove very useful when, for instance, a user might want to transition from working on a workstation PC in the office to a laptop while on the road. By releasing the program on the workstation and then acquiring it on the laptop, the user stays within the license terms and enjoys no Maxon workflow interruption.
