Trapcode Particular

Physics Simulations group

The Displace group contains the original Particular Physics controls that were built as emulations. The particles get moved about, but remain on their original path. Rendering is quick, but doesn’t always provide for organic looking results.

Particular 5 introduces a new Physics engine for added realism, while still keeping creative control. The new Physics Simulations add Flocking and swarming behaviors such as Attract , Separate , Align and Meander . Particles can be attracted to a Target position , or set up Predator/Prey relationships between Systems. Run realistic fluid simulations using the Dynamic Fluids ™ physics engine. And enjoy updates to Bounce , including the ability to use it in tandem with other forces like Wind.

Bounce with animated Wind and Air Turbulence

Bounce

The Bounce model is used to make particles bounce on layers in the composition. Read more on the Bounce group page.

Meander

Meander controls the independent wandering of each particle. Read more on the Meander group page.

Flocking

Flocking adds an ordered motion to a group of particles, controlling how they interact with each other. Read more on the Flocking group page.

Fluid

The Fluid model is used to make particles behave as a liquid, with options to add buoyancy, swirls, and vortex forces. Read more on the Fluid group page.
