Gradient Ramp creates an RGB gradient with two point, three colors and control over alpha, interpolation, aspect, noise, and compositing modes. Includes noise controls to avoid banding.
Getting Started
Drag the
uni.Gradient Ramp
effect onto your clip.
Modify the Effect
The
Start Point
by default is located at the very top center of the composition and is the strongest most solid part of the Start Color. Use the crosshair control or X Y numerical parameters to the reposition of this point from top of the image to a new location.
The
Start Color
color selector allow you to change the colors of the top color to suit your needs.
The
Middle Color
color selector allow you to change the colors of the middle color to suit your color ramp needs. This control is deselected unless Three Color is chosen under Ramp Color.
The
End Point
by default is located at the very bottom center of the composition and is the strongest most solid part of the End Color. Use the crosshair control or X Y numerical parameters to the reposition of this point from bottom of the image to a new location.
The
End Color
color selector allow you to change the colors of the bottom color to suit your liking.
Click the
Reverse Colors
button to switch the Start and End Colors.
Ramp Color
gives the option to have a
Two Color
or
Three Color
ramp. Selecting Three Color activates the Middle Color control.
Ramp Shape
let you choose between a Linear or Radial ramp.
The
Interpolation
drop-down menu that lets you choose between the gradient displaying in either a Smooth or Linear gradient pattern. you will notice that the
Linear
option spreads the gradient out in a wider blend.
Alpha
The
Start Alpha
slider fades down the Start Color opacity to reveal the background or footage underneath the generated layer.
The
Middle Alpha
slider fades down the Middle Color opacity to reveal the background or footage underneath the generated layer.
The
End Alpha
slider fades down the End Color opacity to reveal the background or footage underneath the generated layer.
The
Falloff
control will move the position of the blending falloff between the colors when this setting is changed.
Radial Spread
is turned on is Radial is chosen from the Ramp Shape, and controls the width of the radius.
The
Noise
control adds slight noise patterns to your gradient for a more organic look that covers the banding look you may encounter in some gradient instances.
Chose from the
Blend Mode
drop down to select the blending mode used to composite the gradient over the background or in image if the generator effect is applied to a layer that contains an image or text.
