UNMULT
Create an alpha channel for any image or video shot on a black background. This tool is extremely useful for compositing footage of fire, smoke, water and more.
Getting Started
- Drag the uni.Unmult effect onto your layer with a black background. B y default Unmult will detect the black areas of the layer and turn them into a transparent alpha channel. Place the layer over the background of your choosing in your timeline to see the composited results.
Modify the Effect
- You may uncheck the Unmult Checkbox to revert the layer’s black areas back into opaque pixels.
- Invert will invert the results of the alpha channel.
- Tolerance can be changed to adjust the edges of the alpha.
