INSTALLATION

The Maxon installer application (Maxon App) allows users to install Lens Flare as part of VFX Suite without the need for a separate installer download.

1. Close all host applications. Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro X, DaVinci Resolve, etc. should all be closed prior to running the installer.
2. Install, launch, and log in to Maxon App. You can download Maxon App directly from Maxon. After installing, launch the application and fill in your Maxon credentials associated with your license.
3. Click the Update or Install button next to VFX Suite. Once you click the Update or Install button, VFX Suite will download the VFX installer, which will open automatically upon completion. If VFX Suite indicates that it is up to date, then you already have the latest version installed. Alternatively, you may need to select Reset Configuration if you installed Maxon App but are having difficulties getting it to run.
4. Install. After clicking Install, the installer will automatically place every plug-in component selected for installation wherever it needs to go. The installer may ask for administrative credentials after this step since it is placing files in directories that will be accessible by all system users.

You may now close the installer and open the VFX Suite’s host program (e.g., Adobe After Effects).
