Real Lens Flare
The preview pane shows a preview of the lens flare in its current state within Designer. If the Image button in the top-right corner is toggled on, the previewer will show the layer on which flare is being rendered.
The following image shows how a preview differs from the underlying content. Note how After Effects (top) shows VFX Real Lens Flares’ default flare, because the plug-in effect has already been activated via the ECP. The lens flare under construction in Designer has different properties and is in a different position. Changes made in Designer will not apply to After Effects until you click the Confirm button in the footer pane (in Designer’s bottom-right corner).
You may find it easier to control lens flare position with the crosshair target. Enable this by toggling on the Overlay button.
You can simplify your workspace and gain some extra preview visibility by clicking the four-squares button in the top-left corner of the preview pane. This minimizes the preset browser pane. See the default and expanded views below.
