This shader node gives you access to that attribute data, facilitating object or point shading variation without requiring different materials. A typical example of using user integer data is to drive the Redshift [Switch Shader](https://help.maxon.net/r3d/3dsmax/en-us/Content/html/Shader%2BSwitch.html.md), to execute different shaders for different objects for texture variation. ## Parameters | | | --- | | ![Image: 3ds_Integer_User_Data_UI.png](https://help.maxon.net/r3d/3dsmax/en-us/Content/Resources/Images/3ds_Integer_User_Data_UI.png) | ### Attribute Preset This dropdown sets the user data with the following preset options: - User-defined - Object ID - Name ID ### Attribute Name > **Note:** Only works when "User-defined" is set as the Attribute Preset. This is the name of the user attribute assigned to the object or point cloud. ### Default This is the value that will be output by the shader if the attribute is not found on the object or point cloud.
