Render Maps

Redshift supports texture baking using the render maps feature. Any Redshift ROP node can be configured to work as texture baker with the options available in the RenderMaps tab.

Once the Bake Render Map option is enabled, Redshift is going to render a baked texture for the objects available in the Render Map Objects bundle list. You can select the UV Map that is going to be used as baking source and the Output Resolution for the baked texture map.

If you need to bake several textures in the same scene, for example to bake several objects, you can configure and merge two or more rop nodes and bake all the textures in only one session. The Add ROP Name As Prefix option makes possible append the ROP node name to the baked texture files, useful if you have a lot of render map ROP nodes with the same file name prefix.
