The one discussed here is Spherical Field, which is a displacement field in the form of a sphere. The sphere can either push particles outward or suck them in. Spherical Field is not a force field. The field's effect is instant and does not leave a trace once the field is removed. ![Image: Displace_SphericalField_01.png](https://help.maxon.net/rg/en-us/Content/Resources/Images/Displace_SphericalField_01.png) #### Strength Strength is the directional displacement amount with which the field pushes particles around. Positive values create a field that pushes particles outward. Negative values mean particles get sucked inward. | | | | | --- | --- | --- | | ![spin_off](https://help.maxon.net/rg/en-us/Content/Resources/Images/spin_off2_trapcode-particular.gif) | ![sphere_pos](https://help.maxon.net/rg/en-us/Content/Resources/Images/sphere_pos_trapcode-particular.gif) | ![sphere_neg](https://help.maxon.net/rg/en-us/Content/Resources/Images/sphere_neg_trapcode-particular.gif) | | *Strength 0* | *Strength Positive* | *Strength Negative* | #### Radius Radius allows you to adjust the Spherical Field's size uniformly. #### Sphere Position This control lets you set the Spherical Field's position along the x, y, and z axes. #### Scale X, Y and Z This control sets the size of the Spherical Field on a specific axis. Making the value smaller decreases the size of the field on that axis. This works best when x, y, and z scale values are different. #### Feather Feather sets the Softness of the Spherical Field's edges. Higher values make a softer field. #### Visualize Fields Checkbox When this checkbox is turned on, a visual representation of the field is displayed. The x plane is in red, the y plane is in green, and the z plane is in blue. This option is turned off by default but becomes visible in the Designer when selecting the Fields block regardless of that field's strength. ![Image: Displace_SphericalField_03.png](https://help.maxon.net/rg/en-us/Content/Resources/Images/Displace_SphericalField_03.png)
