HOW TO INSTALL TRAPCODE PARTICULAR

This page explains how to install purchased and trial-mode Trapcode products.

Before beginning:

• Close All Intensive Programs. Make doubly sure all resource-intensive background programs are closed, especially the host program into which you're installing the Trapcode plug-in(s).
• Be logged in as an administrator. The software will install plug-ins onto your system such that they will be accessible by all users. Doing so requires you to be logged in as an administrator.

Running the Maxon App

If you are using current versions of our products, your software is already compatible. Simply update using the Maxon App.

1. Run the Maxon App to see if any of your products have an update available.
2. If this is the first time you’ve run the app, you may want to reset the configuration.
3. If there is an Update/Install button, click it and follow the instructions.
4. If there is no indication of an available update, you already have the most current version.

Welcome Screen: Read Requirements

The Trapcode Suite installer will provide general host and OS requirement specifications. Trapcode Particular runs inside current After Effects versions. For the latest compatibility information, please check system requirements.

Installation: Confirm Administrative Credentials

The software is ready to install plug-ins and files onto your system. The installer will confirm that you have administrative privileges, then install all necessary files.

Installation Complete: Enter License Information

The installer will display a confirmation of successful installation.

From here, you can optionally click Resources, which will take you to FAQs, user guides (including this one), and tutorials for various Trapcode Products. What's New brings up an overview of what's been added in the latest update. Close lets you exit the installer and head into your host application(s).
