Layer Maps Group

Disperse group

The Disperse group uses a layer map to create particle dispersion in the system, similar to how the Turbulence Strength group works.

You set the amount of dispersion in the Disperse and Twist group. If the Disperse and Twist > Disperse control is set to 0, no dispersion will occur. Once Disperse has a non-zero value, the layer map will start pushing particles around.

A layer with a gradient ramp (left) and a particle field (center). The gradient ramp is applied (right) as the Disperse map, with Disperse set to 50 in the Displace > Disperse and Twist group.
