Function available in CINEMA 4D Prime, Visualize, Broadcast, Studio & BodyPaint 3D


You can select UV points or UV polygons in the Texture view or in the 3D view. The selected elements will be displayed in both views.

The following applies to all selections tools: hold down Shift to add to an existing selection. Hold down Ctrl/Cmd to subtract from an existing selection (only those selections pertinent to the settings will be described. All other options should be ignored).

Selected points or polygons are colored.


Selecting UV islands

UV islands (connected UV meshes) can be selected as follows:

  • Double-click on a UV polygon or UV point (don’t click directly on the UV point but anywhere in the proximity of the UV island; otherwise the dialog window for the numeric placement of the point will open) with a transform tool (Move, Scale, etc.) in the perspective view or in the texture view.
  • Alternatively, you can Alt+click on a UV polygon or UV point (or in the proximity of a UV island). This works with either the Live Selection or the transform tools.
