Function available in CINEMA 4D Prime, Visualize, Broadcast, Studio & BodyPaint 3D

View Menu

As Icons
As List

Use this option to define how elements should be displayed in the content window. The same result can be achieved by using View As in the context menu.

The Content Browser remembers the settings (and icon size) for all folders and no longer has to have this defined, as was the case with versions prior to Cinema R13.

Simplified Browser

The Simplified Browser option hides all browser controls. Thumbnails will only be displayed side-by-side or vertically. The simplified Content Browser can be easily integrated into the Cinema 4D interface. This allows you, for example, to always have all your most used presets or libraries at your fingertips.

Sort By

Select the criteria by which files and folders (Show Folders First option in the Content Browser settings deactivated) will be displayed.

Available criteria are:

Refresh

Updates the Content Browser view.

Tree View

Selecting this option will switch the browser view to a simplified mode. Only thumbnails will be displayed. This mode is ideal when integrating the entire Content Browser window into the Cinema 4D interface.

Search Bar

Use this option to display or hide the search list. You can also click on the search icon at the top right of the window.

The following menu items are filter options which can be activated or deactivated by clicking on them:

Cinema 4D Project Files
Other 3D Project Files
Images
Movies
Other Known File Formats
Unknown File Formats

For example, Other 3D Scene Files include *.obj files; Other Known File Formats include *.wav files; Unknown File Formats include all formats that are not recognized by Cinema 4D, e.g., text files and files from foreign applications.
