The Edge 1 and Edge 2 values can be used to define a value range within which the input Value can freely move. The Value setting will be relative in percent to the defined value range. This percent value will then also be output by the Node. The calculation, however, is not done linearly as is the case with the Box Step Node but will be done as a Hermite interpolation. In practice, this means that, similar to the Bias/Gain Material Node, if values of less than 0.5 are used, a shift of smaller percent values in the direction 0% will occur and a shift in the direction of 100% will occur if values greater than 0.5 are used.
