Color [XYZ ]

If the rays hit a surface, the surface color at this location will be saved. The color that was ascertained can be output here.

Geometry Normal [XYZ ]

Here you will find the averaged Normals of the polygon that was hit. The Phong or Normal tag of the respective object will not play a role.

Phong Normal [XYZ ]

Here you will find the averaged Phong Normals of the surface that was hit. The surface Normals manipulated using a Phone or Normal tag will be evaluated.

Position [XYZ ]

This output supplies the averaged global position of all points hit by the rays.


Here the interpolated UVW coordinates of the collision points that were found will be output.

Distance [-∞..+∞]

This distance is the average distance of all points that were hit.

Normalized Distance [-∞..+∞]

The distance already calculated for Distance will be placed in relation to the Max Ray Length and will deliver values between 0 and 1 for the average distance of the surfaces found that was ascertained.

Hit Ratio [-∞..+∞]

Not every ray will hit a surface within the defined distance. The Hit Ratio outputs the ratio of the total number of rays sent and the hits as a percentage value.
