Inputs

Origin [XYZ ]

This is the sample’s point of origin in the global coordinate system.

Direction [XYZ ]

The sample’s Direction vector in the global coordinate system. If set to 0, 0, 1, the sample would, for example, emit parallel to the global Z axis, i.e., perpendicular from the Origin upwards.

Max Distance [-∞..+∞]

The Max Distance setting can be used to limit the search for a collision point for the sample using the scene’s geometry. If the sample does not meet a surface before this value is reached, the Node will output a FALSE signal at the Hit output.

If a value of -1 is applied, the distance limit will be disabled. The sample will then search endlessly for a surface.
