Random Field

The Random Field generates random values for each clone or object point, which can be mixed with other fields and modifier layers in the corresponding field lists (e.g. for effectors or deformers).

In addition, the use of the many adjustable Noise types can take away some of the randomness (because then the grayscale values of the Noises are used to form a value).
