Basic Coord. Object Include

Include

Mode

Include

If this option is enabled, only the objects in the list will be included in the calculation.

Exclude

Excludes the objects in the list from the calculation, even if they have a Weight tag assigned.

Force

Enable this option if you want the skin object to deform point objects that are not polygon objects (non-parametric splines, FFDs or Bezier objects). In addition, set Mode to Include and Drag & drop the objects you want included into the List.

Using joints to deform FFDs is especially useful when you're working with a very complex mesh that would be difficult to weight.

Note:
Only use this option if you want to deform point objects that are not polygon objects. The option makes the skin object work differently internally. Usually, the skin object, like other deformers, creates a virtual copy of the mesh it should affect and uses that for the deformation. If, on the other hand, Force is enabled, the mesh is deformed directly. This can lead to problems with polygon objects. For example, this can alter morph targets created with the Pose Morph tag, preventing them from working.

This option can also help if generators (e.g., Array or Cloner objects) are used to duplicate the Skin object’s polygonal object and the defomation has no effect.

List

Drag & drop the polygon objects you want to be included or excluded from the deformation into this list.

Another option is to Drag & drop other types of point object into the list, such as FFDs or splines. If you then enable the Force option, the skin object will be able to deform these objects as well.
