As with objects in the Object Manager, you can arrange layers into tree structures. Use these two commands to open or close the tree’s branches.
Switch display
Here you can choose which switches are present in the Layer Manager. Use these switches to set which properties are on or off for the layer’s objects. Each layer has its own set of switches which affect the items on that layer.
The following switches are available:
Here you can set the switches for View, Render, Manager and Animation all at the same time for the objects on the layer. This allows you to completely focus on the layer's content because everything else is hidden from display.
Display of objects in the view.
Rendering of objects (tags cannot be excluded separately from rendering).
Display of items in the managers (Object Manager, timeline and Material Manager.)
Protects items from unintentional changes. Locked items cannot be selected, deleted or in any other way edited.
Switches generators (e.g., Sweep object, Array, Boole, etc.) on or off.
Switches the effect of deformers (e.g., Twist, Bend, etc.) on or off. For this to work, the layer must be assigned to the object being deformed rather than to the deformer itself
Switches XPresso, Python tags, etc. on or off.
Switches animation on or off for the layer's items.
This option applies only to the XRef feature. Objects that in the referenced file that lie on layers will not be loaded into the Master Project (option disabled).
