Explode Segments

Using this command, you can split the individual segments of a spline into separate objects. An individual spline object is created from each segment of the original. Only the first segment of the original spline remains. You do not need to have a selection and you do not need to be in point mode. The new spline objects become Child objects of the original spline and are given the names object name and number.

For example, a text spline object can easily be split into individual letters. (Keep in mind that certain letters, such as e, may be exploded into two or more segments because of their holes. You may want to group these segments to re-create the entire letter.)
