Emission Material

The rear wall to which an emitting material is assigned illuminates the rest of the scene.

The emitting material behaves similarly to a standard material that only has the Luminance channel enabled (polygon lights, for example, have this type of material). It emits light without having to be illuminated itself. Use this material, for example, if you want to place an HDRI material on a sky object or otherwise want to have objects luminate.
