Hardware OpenGL
BasicHardware OpenGL
Selecting the Hardware OpenGL option in the Basic Properties menu’s Renderer menu will cause render output to result in Hardware OpenGL (see OpenGL) format (a very concise render output compared to the comprehensive output but therefore very fast thanks to graphics card acceleration).
Note that the quality as compared to the Viewport display can be better because Hardware OpenGL can do more. There is, for example, the Supersampling setting that offers a special smoothing function for transparencies. Shadow display is also optimized.
