Reset Scale

This command restores the object coordinate system. To understand this section, you need to be aware of the differences between the Use Object Tool and Use Model Tool modes.

It can occur that you encounter distorted object axes (they are not perpendicular to each other or have different lengths; this can no longer happen. Beginning with R12, the axes of Child objects whose Parent objects’ axes have been scaled (e.g., a value other than 1 was defined for G.X in the Coordinates tab) will be standardized. This means that the shape of the Child object may be altered!). This command will standardize these axes, i.e., the axes will be made perpendicular to one another.

Compensate Points

The shape of the object will not be modified. Distorted axes will be reset and object points will be repositioned to compensate. If this option is disabled, the axes will be reset and the position of the points will change.

Reset Child Objects

If enabled, all Child objects of the selected object will also be reset.
