Select Bitmap Menu

These selection tools are indispensable for your day-to-day work in BodyPaint 3D. They restrict the effect of tools to the selected pixels and enable you to cut, copy and move parts of the bitmap.

There are two main types of selection tool in BodyPaint 3D:

  1. The component (point, edge, polygon and their UV equivalents) tools in the Perspective Viewport/texture view.
  2. Bitmap selection tools.

In these pages you will learn how to use the bitmap selection tools. Some of these tools select pixels according to color differences (such as the Magic Wand) while others allow you to draw a selection shape (such as Select Circle and Select Polylines).

Bitmap selections appear as moving dotted lines in both the Texture view and the 3D view. To move a selection, move the mouse pointer inside the selection and drag the selection to the desired position (in the 3D view, projection painting must be enabled for this to work).
