Spline Mapper

Contrary to the Range Mapper, the Spline Mapper also allows a non-linear recalculation of input values, which means it can, for example, be used to recalculate brightness values individually. In this example, this method a simple noise was was used to create a more complex structure that is used to color a bump effect.

This node offers a spline curve that can be used to recalculate values non-linearly. This node can be used in combination with the Range Mapper to recalculate values to a new value range.
