Basic Coord. Option Polygon Extrusion Shaping Topology

Polygon Extrusion

The following settings are only available when beveling polygons.

A combination of Extrude and Extrude Inner is used when polygons are beveled, i.e., the polygon is brought out of its original position, scaled and moved in the direction of its Normals (or in the opposite direction, if desired).

An example can be seen under Extrusion.

Extrusion [-∞..+∞m]

This value defines the distance that the extruded polygon will have to its original position (in the direction of its Normals).

Max Angle [0..+∞°]

If Preserver Groups (see below) is enabled, polygons whose angle to one another do not exceed this value will be kept together. If the polygons’ angles exceed this value they will be separated when beveled.

Preserve Groups

If this option is enabled, connected surfaces will not be separated when beveled - as long as the angles to another do not exceed the value defined in the Max Angle setting.
