Sub-Frame Motion Blur is a type of brute force motion blur, i.e., it takes long to render because several (this number can be defined) complete in-between frames have to be rendered that must be combined.

However, this method can be used to add motion blur to any animation. This is very useful, for example, if ProRender is used to render motion blur for camera animations and deformations. Sub-Frame Motion Blur can calculate all of these effects correctly.
