Here you can link a BSDF layer that, for example, is calculated by a Uber Surface node. If you want to link multiple BSDF layers, a BSDF Add or BSDF Mix node can be used.
The assigned surface is opaque by default. If you want to mask out or reduce the opacity of certain regions you can use Surface Alpha. Here you can, for example, also link grayscales or float comma values between 0 and 1 to control the opacity of the surface.
This input can be used to render volumes or Subsurface Scattering for objects. For this you will find a special node in the Assets’ volume group. The Volume node is designed more for effects such as clouds, flames and smoke that can be combined with a Volume Builder or Volume Loader object. A Homogeneous Volume node can be used to create absorption or translucence effects.
Here you can link a Displacement node, if necessary, to deform the surface using the material or even subdivide it more.
