Basic Coord. Object Restriction Forces Cache

Cache

Using the parameters on this page you can calculate a cache for the secondary motion by caching the movement of each point. On the one hand, this lets the animation play smoother and on the other the cache is required when the scene is rendered with motion blur or over a network.

Enable

Use this option to define whether or not a calculated cache should be used for the secondary motion.

Compress

Enable this option if you want your cache to be imported (to save memory).

Memory:

Displays the current memory usage of the cache.

Calculate

Starts the cache calculation.

Update

Updates the calculation for the current frame.

Empty Cache

Empties the cache.

Load...

A previously saved calculated cache can be loaded using this option.

Save...

A calculated cache can be saved for later use.

Auto Time

If enabled, the entire document length will be taken into consideration when calculating the cache.

Start

Enter the frame number at which the calculation of the cache should begin. This option will only be made available if Automatic has not been enabled.

Stop

Enter the frame number at which the calculation of the cache should end. This option will only be made available if Automatic has not been enabled.

Offset

This offset value will cause the points to be moved prior to or following a given cache calculation.

Scale [0..+∞%]

Use these values to scale the cache temporally to make the points move faster or slower than during recording.

Cache [1..1000]

Use this setting to define the size of the cache made available for undos. If no limit is set, your computer’s memory can be quickly brought to its knees.
