ZProjects & ZTools
ZProjects and ZTools are native ZBrush formats which store 3D models, settings, and more. This section covers the differences between them and their settings retained during saving and loading procedures.
ZTool (.ztl)
A native ZBrush 3D format that saves essential content from the Tool palette.
Essential saved Items:

All Tools, subtools, folder contents, and subtool settings.

All Tool palette customizations including Geometry settings (Subdivide, DynaMesh, and more)

Polypaint and colorize settings

Subtools with filled materials
ZProject (.zpr)
A native ZBrush project format that saves all items stored within a ZTool, including any essential parameter customizations.
The ZPR format stores more scene settings than ZTL.

Floor Grid settings

Canvas background settings

Assigned textures and alphas in their respected palettes
