Modifier layers

Modifier layers modify the values provided by other layers. A modifier layer in an otherwise empty field list has no effect.

Most of the modifier layers described in the sub-chapters recreate the effects that the normal field objects (e.g. sphere field) have in their "Remapping" tab.
