Solaris Rendering

Overview

Final rendering in Solaris is dependent on two main LOP nodes and one optional node.

Render Settings LOP

Render Settings LOP

The Render Settings LOP controls all the render settings for the scene and also has a Redshift tab that contains the same familiar Redshift render settings.

The Render Settings LOP is also to specify generic render settings like the output resolution, the camera to be used, and which Render Product LOP to use.

For more detail about the individual attributes, please refer to the Render Options and Redshift ROP node documentation.

For more information on the Render Settings LOP please see the documentation for Houdini: https://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini/nodes/lop/rendersettings.html

USD Render ROP

USD Render ROP

Use the USD Render ROP as the final output node to initiate rendering in Solaris.

The USD Render ROP contains many of the same familiar render settings as a Redshift ROP in Houdini however it is also expecting a Render Settings LOP to be specified as well as a specific render delegate as outlined below.
