Hair Position
What is it about?
This page covers the Hair Position node of the Redshift renderer in Cinema 4D. It outputs the position along each hair strand — the coordinate needed to run root-to-tip gradients through nodes that lack automatic hair UVs.
This utility node outputs the position along the strand of the hair. Some texture shader nodes will automatically use the hair position when applied to hair, but nodes that do not allow for a default uv coordinate cluster, or have an explicit uv coordinate input, you can use this node to drive the texture coordinate.
The node output can be a scalar or a vector, depending on the texture node requirements.
