Cross Product
What is it about?
This page describes the Cross Product node of the Scene Nodes system in Cinema 4D. It computes the vector perpendicular to two inputs — indispensable for building matrices with cleanly orthogonal axes.
Whenever matrices are created manually, a Cross Product Node must be used in order to calculate the three perpendicular directions.
The mathematical Cross Product Node uses two vectors to calculate a new vector that lies perpendicular to the plane that runs through both original vectors. The Cross Product is used regularly for calculating matrices to ensure that the axis vectors lie perpendicular to one another.
