Solid Field Layer
This page documents the Solid Field layer in Cinema 4D. It outputs a constant value — the explicit form of the automatic unlimited effect of empty Field lists, useful as a base level in blended stacks.
This Layer represents a type of constant that can be blended with other Fields or Layers.
The Field system has an automation that ensures a complete, unlimited effect for an empty Field list (reflects the previous Infinite falloff setting). This is the same effect as the Solid Field Layer with 100% opacity, which is why a Solid Field Layer set to 100% in an otherwise empty Field list would not make a difference if you disabled it.
You can also use this Layer, for example, to create a temporary effect at full strength.
