User Data Tag

What is it about?

This page covers the User Data tag in Cinema 4D. It makes custom user-data parameters visible as a dedicated tag in the Object Manager — keeping self-built controls for rigs and setups discoverable instead of hidden on some object.

The User Data tag does nothing in and of itself. It's designed to hold the User Data.

In principle, User Data can be assigned to any object or tag. The disadvantage is that this is not obvious at first glance. The User Data tag makes this apparent.
