Atom Array

What is it about?

This page documents the Atom Array object in Cinema 4D. It replaces the edges of its child geometry with cylinders and the points with spheres — instantly creating molecule-style or wireframe-look structures from any mesh.

The Atom Array turns every of its child objects into an atom grid-like construct. All object edges are replaced by cylinders and all object points by spheres. For example, the landscape object becomes the following object:

NoteThe Atom Array is also ideal for rendering the polygon edges (i.e. the mesh). To do this, set Cylinder Radius = Sphere Radius.
